The city of Villa María, province of Córdoba, has now its own airport.

Eling Energía S.A. carried out the construction of the Villa María Presidente Néstor Kirchner regional airport, with the permit granted by Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (the National Civil Aviation Authority)

It is located 9 kilometers northwest of the city and it constitutes a revitalizing factor key to a region of intense agricultural and industrial activity. Its construction followed international regulations and the requirements of the local authorities. The runway of 1,800 meters long and with a width of 30 meters is geometrically and structurally designed to host medium size aircraft and occasional operations of Boeing 737, Embraer E 190, Airbus 320 and the like.

It includes 3 buildings: the passenger’s area and the operations area; fire department and a hangar for the local aero club. The airport has been equipped with communication systems, radio devices, and first class high security air navigation and climate monitoring technology.

Given the project particular characteristics and through the involvement of several areas, we have worked with a group of professionals with sound track records and training in airport infrastructure, air traffic procedures and structuring of air space.
