By the Suquía river, in the former Ferrocarril Mitre area, we are building the Bicentennial Civil Center. The project includes the construction of three buildings (Governor’s residence, public administration offices, and convention centre), a road network which includes two bridges over the Suquía river and a helicopter platform directly connected to the governor’s residence. This project will allow us to integrate in one single space all the employees from the public administration of the province and it will give the city a new space adequate to serve as congress rooms to meet the needs of this touristic and inviting city. The buildings are characterized by a design that adopts organic shapes, summing up a total building area of 25,000 m2. The tower of the main building has over 46 meters; it has a technical basement, 10 floors and a terrace. These facilities will house all the activities related to the public administration. The strategic location of the Civil Center, just a few meters from the bus station, is a key factor for all those people who, from inland Córdoba, come to carry out all sort of paperwork. The convention centre will host different events, congresses and related activities. The design of this building gives a touch of modernity to the city, reinvigorating its touristic potential. It is a large scale project in all its aspects. |
