It is located in the department of 25 de Mayo, 65 kilometers from San Juan city and 600 kilometers of height above sea level. The project extends along 350 cultivated hectares among which 330 are separated for wine making and 20 for fresh consumption. Drip irrigation and arbor and trellis system depend on how each variety adapts to weather conditions. Production varieties are Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Aspirant Bouche, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Bonarda, Torrontés Riojano, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc. The harvest season takes place from January through March and the largest amount of the grapes are sent to the wine yard Don Oreste in the city of San Juan to produce the wine in each harvest. The wine yard capacity is of 4 million liters and it relies on top technology to meet the highest World quality standards. Don Oreste wines have been praised as excellent by qualified wine testers and national and international visitors. |
